Save the Illinois River, Inc | Environment | August 18, 2019
Tidy Up Tenkiller, a shoreline clean up project August 15-17, was a success. Save the Illinois River (STIR) was a major sponsor of the clean up.
STIR members Ed Fite, left, Gary Vandenbos and Barb Daily loaded a pontoon boat with large chunks of Styrofoam scattered by a tornado and floods. Sixshooter Resort donated boats for the project. Barb is STIR Vice President.
Enjoying the daily hotdog cookout were, left to right; Michael Toyne, Genny Maiden, Denise Deason-Toyne and Gena McPhail. Maiden and McPhail chaired the clean up. Denise is President of STIR.
