From all indications, the Oklahoma Legislature adjourned without adopting HB 2774, the bill that would have relaxed restrictions on hog farm locations.
Rep. Dale DeWitt introduced the bill. It passed the House but was assigned to the Senate Rules Com. where it apparently languished.
The bill will no doubt be back next session as the pork producers are not expected to quit.
Thanks to everyone who contacted legislators with concerns about this bill.
